Document Preparation for TCS Ignite Joining


General Documents
  1. Tenth and higher secondary mark sheets
  2. UG mark sheets : All semesters (If you are yet to receive some of the semester mark sheets, just bring those that you have. You may submit the mark sheet once you obtain it.)
  3. Degree/Provisional certificate (If not yet provided - take Course completion certificate –It’s a temporary arrangement and you have to submit the provisional certificate within the time period they specify.)
    Birth certificate : A birth certificate is a mandatory document. In case you do not have it, please apply for it. As a temporary arrangement, you may produce an affidavit in English on a Rs. 20/- Stamp paper containing your name, place and date of birth. Note: An affidavit is a written declaration made by a notary public or other authorised officer. When you obtain original birth certificate, take a photocopy, get attested and submit before completing ILP
  4. Passport (If you have applied for it, bring the acknowledgement slip) 
  5. PAN card (If you have applied for it, bring the acknowledgement slip)
  6. 12 passport size photographs
N.B:- The originals of these documents along with one set of attested photocopy needs to be provided on joining for ILP. The originals will be given back.


Service Agreement

First page should be printed in Stamp Paper Either Rs.100 or two Rs.50 pages. Rest of the pages can be printed in Plain Paper (a4 sheets) or green (bond) papers. Stamp paper must be purchased in your name. Do NOT Change the Place MUMBAI in first line of agreement. Clause 3 must not be removed (Leave it blank if not applicable). Surety must sign at bottom of all pages of Service Agreement. At beginning of agreement, the agreement date should be mentioned as your ILP Start date. Duration of Training should be mentioned as Twelve Months. Minimum period of service needs to be mentioned as Two years. The service agreement NEED NOT BE notarized.

Attachments for service agreement: 

Case a: If your surety is an income tax payer
  • An attested copy of your surety's PAN card
  • An attested copy of your surety's IT Returns/Saral /Form 2D/ Form 16/ Form 12B (Don't be panic. Your surety may be aware of these. Templates of all the above forms can be downloaded from Internet. You just need to download and fill any one of those, print and get sign from the authoritative employer of your surety. If your surety files any one of the above forms then absolutely no problem, just take a photocopy and get attested. For any confusions, approach income tax office or an auditor for advice.)
  • Surety verification form OR an attested photocopy of your surety's passport.



OR



Case b: If your surety is a land owner (Current value of the land must be above Rs.50000)
  • An attested photocopy of the land deed/passbook. 
  • A recent valuation certificate (in english).

(For this, please approach some govt registered engineers or architects. They will analyze your land and provide the valuation certificate. He may charge an amount which may proportionate with the value of the land)



case c: If you could find no surety and you possess Rs.50000
  • Document of proof for the fixed deposit of Rs.50000 in a joint account between TCS and YOU.
  • Document of proof for the assignment of the account to TCS.


(ASHOK MAHARAJ: If you are having problems with FD, pls do the following

- Get the fixed deposit in your name and place a request to the bank to lien/assign it to TCS for the duration of the service agreement.
- Get the fixed deposit in your name, on the reverse of the deposit, on a revenue stamp of Rep 1, he can sign and specifically mention that the deposit has been "assigned to TCS for 2 years"
- Get in touch with another bank who can do it.
Enquire from bank or any experienced hands for further clarifications.)

Surety verification form

Who can be a surety?

A Surety can either be an individual who is an Income Tax payee/ possesses landed property . A retired employee filing an Income Tax Return & possessing a pan card can also be a surety. In case the surety is an Income tax payee, then the original or attested photo copy of the latest Form 16 (for salaried individuals) else Form 2 D (for self-employed individuals) / IT Returns (acknowledged copy of IT Assessment order copy) or in case the surety is not an Income Tax Payee, then submit original/ attested photocopy of the Surety's Land Deed / Land Passbook along with a recent Valuation certificate of the property duly signed and sealed by a competent authority .


Affidavit/Notarized Undertaking

Use only Stamp papers worth Rs.100. In the name field, use the exact name which is present in your certificates. For the “Residing at” field, fill your complete address with PIN code. For the “Employment as” field, fill as “GRADUATE TRAINEE”. For the Offer Letter date, mention the Date which is specified in your Offer Letter and it is not the day you received your Offer Letter in Mail. It would be better if you make all the dates as same. Fill it by your witnesses who can vouch for you anytime if you are under any criminal enquiries. Anyone can be made witness (preferably Neighbours). No documents needed for this part. Only get it notarized(all the pages). Make it sure that notary-seal, sign and attestation are duly present in the pages .

AFFIDAVIT FORMAT:
Print the portion “whereas I-----“ To “which I hereby do” of the 6th page of the annexure form on a 100rs stamp paper. Print the clauses (clause 1—clause 6) on another plain sheet following the 100 rs stamp paper. Don’t even dare to remove or edit any of the clauses. Print as it is in the annexure.
Print the other page i.e. the witness page on another plain sheet. Get it notarized ….don’t worry about the place and date issue on the witness page.
There are many other formats given in the fb group. As its very difficult to rummage through all the posts, please mention the formats here as comments so that I can include it as well.

Medical certificate

Please make sure that the correct height and weight has been entered. Doctor must attest your photo. Attestation includes Doctor’s seal & signature. Make sure that the Doctor gives his seal and signature in Second Page also.


Background Check Form

The form starts from the page 12. Fill up the first page with your personal details and give address with proper land mark. In the permanent address field. You may give the period of stay (i.e. FROM, To) as From-“YOUR DOB” to-“till date”. Fill the consent letter attached to the BGC form.
Give proper reason for your year gap in education. Give medical reports if the gap is due to medical issues and produce results/certificates if the gap is due to any additional courses done. Or for any other reasons, get it notarized on a 20rs affidavit stating the reason and the gap period.

Documents list for BGC form
  • Self-attested copy of ID proof – One of these: PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voters ID card, College ID Card duly attested by HOD. 
  • Self-attested copy of address proof – One of these: Passport, Ration card, Electricity Bill, Landline Telephone Bill, House Lease Agreement. 
  • Self-attested and signed documents to explain break (if any) in education using one among the following: (i) Medical records, if the break was due to medical reasons. (ii) Certificates / Examination results, if the break was due to additional course done. (iii) Affidavit on a Rs. 20 stamp paper with notary authorization, if the break was due to other personal reasons.
  • In case your residential address(present/permanent) is Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane City, Thane Rural or, Pune you need to submit Self-attested Criminal Investigation Division (CID) forms for the respective region + supporting documents mentioned within each form. This is in addition to the BGC form.

National Skills Registry- I still haven’t successfully completed it yet. So I need help in this area.


Note: For your reference, please take an additional photocopy of all the documents that you are going to submit. Also having some more passport photographs with you won’t hurt.

    1. TC should serve as a course completion certificate. But since its a temporary arrangement, you will have to produce provisional certificate within the timeperiod they specify.

  3. NSR Registration: Register yourself in NSR.you can pay the payment through net or You can take a print of your "registration form" and pay the amount later at POS(This can be done at any POS all over India).Amount to be paid will be around 400.

  6. hi its mentioned as tcs ignite joining, is this same as tcs ilp joining? and the formalities are also same for tcs ilp joining?

    1. Hi anjan, Yes the formalities of joining is almost the same for tcs ilp as well. But please note that this blog was written as a helpful guide for Tcs ignite joinees. So some details such as designation will be different from that of a regular ilp joining.

  7. Hi I can't arrange for surity thatswhy I decided to make a FD of 50000 in my name and to attach revenue stamp to the backside of FD receipt and sign across it and to write FD assigned to TCS 2 years is that ok I and my ilp joining location is Trivandrum.

    1. trijit, not sure if joining will be cancelled or not. But surety/FD documents needs to be shown or surrenederd during the date of joining. Please connect with your TCS representatives for inquiring whether joining will be cancelled or not
